My good friends River and Sam have teamed up over at River’s blog to bring you Contemporary Summer Fling! Not only are they sharing their reviews about awesome books, but there’s also going to be a giveaway in August! You don’t want to miss out!
So far they’ve reviewed This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales (amazing book, don’t miss out when it releases this fall!) and The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen (haven’t read it yet but it’s on my list). Can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us.
My copy of the paperback version of The Sight Seer arrived yesterday, hooray! It’s so incredibly surreal, holding a book that you wrote in your hands. Wow. I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.
Because I love the cover and still can’t stop staring at it, how about some pictures?
Pretty, isn’t it?
I also signed a copy for the first time ever on Saturday for a friend. First of many, I hope!
Now that The Sight Seer is out in the world and people are reading it, I keep seeing the same question pop up:
“Will there be a sequel?”
The answer is YES. Absolutely! I would never end a book like that, are you kidding? That would be pretty evil, actually.
When I set out to write a new book, I end up coming up with so much material that it almost always becomes book one in a series. I’m also so used to reading series in YA that it’s natural for me to assume I’ll be writing a trilogy. Right now, I’m planning on three books, but who knows? Maybe there will be more. Definitely three. And something else, but that’s a secret for now. *evil grin*
So yes, there will be a Seer2!
It’s July! Summer is here! Time to sit outside and read (if you don’t mind the excessive heat, humidity, and bugs, that is!). Here’s the list of July books I’m excited for:
2nd-The Distance Between Us-Kasie West
29th-Friday Night Alibi-Cassie Mae
That’s… it? Surely there are more July books that I don’t know about! Does anyone have any books coming out this month that they can’t wait for? I’d love to hear about them, and maybe add them to my to-read list! In the meantime, I’ll continue making progress on my BEA pile.
