Tomodachi Life: Part Forty!!!

The Miis are back! I can’t believe I haven’t updated since August. Does anyone even remember what happened in the last post (I don’t!)?

Here’s a quick recap:

Gabi and Rafe are madly in love and have nine children. Evan and Alex were madly in love and had three kids until Alex decided to dump Evan one day and marry one of Gabi and Rafe’s sons, Colton. Evan dated Nina briefly before dumping her for one of Gabi and Rafe’s daughters, Melanie (yeah, I know.). Phil and Kain are married but only mildly like one another and have never had any kids. And Charles married Gabi and Rafe’s daughter, Ariana, which isn’t creepy AT ALL. The children grew up and had children and I honestly cannot keep track of everyone despite making myself a chart. So don’t feel bad if you can’t, either!

With that out of the way, let’s get started with this week’s installment!

001

Ouch, Alex!

004

This should be good.

005

Whoa, that’s spot on!

006

We all know how much Rafe loves baseball. Almost as much as he loves Gabi!

008

Sure it does. Also, love your caveman outfit. It goes great with your baseball cap. XD

009

Unfortunately forever doesn’t actually mean forever and those two aren’t best friends anymore. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

010

Only fairly close?

012

That’s more than fairly close! XD Also, is anyone surprised that they had another baby? No? Me neither!

013

014

Hello, Matthew!

016.JPG

Oh no, he’s crying!

019

Making him laugh with silly faces.

020

Daddy Rafe is trying to cheer Matthew up.

024.JPG

Playing with Mom!

025.JPG

Getting so big.

026.JPG

Where’s Rafe?

027

He’s at the beach, playing soccer!

028

Oh, but they took Matthew on a trip. That’s nice!

029

031

032.JPG

Evan wants to save the world while wearing a skeleton mask. Maybe he’s trying to be a super hero?

033

Lauren (Fitzgerald baby #9) wants to be like Gabi!

036

The family went to the cafe. I can’t believe Rafe is STILL wearing his caveman outfit (and in public, no less!).

037

Wow! Gabi saved up enough money to go to space!

038

And she brought Matthew! What a lucky kid! It must be because he’s baby #10.

039

I love their spacesuits! XD

040

Gabi, you’re upside down…

041

042043044

Looks like they’re having a blast!

045

Gabi loved space so much she won’t take off her spacesuit.

050

Rafe said, “Fine, if you’re going to be an astronaut, then I’ll be a samurai!” Oh, and Matthew grew up. He did a lot during his five days as a baby!

052

053

Okay, someone likes to brag…

055

That’s sweet!

056

What? Do tell, Rafe!

057

Aww! At least you have Bo the cat!

That’s it for this week! Look forward to more hilarity in the next installment (which hopefully won’t be two months from now.)!

And there’s a random mosaic of their space photos at the bottom of this post that I can’t figure out how to get rid of. Oh, WordPress…

I’m on Wattpad!

Wow, an update that doesn’t involve Tomodachi Life? I’ve almost forgotten how to write a regular blog post! ๐Ÿ˜‰ All kidding aside, I’m here to tell you that I’ve joined Wattpad! If you visit my profile, you can find the first chapters for both THE SIGHT SEER and THE FADING DUSK!

If you read them, I’d love to hear what you think!

The Shadow Stealer is here!

The Shadow Stealer (Medium)

Well, this is it. The final chapter in the Silver Moon Saga is out today, and you find it here on Amazon! I would like to thank everyone who has joined me on this wonderful, scary, and exciting journey as I published my first book, then my first novella, and now my first series! Five books in less than two years! If you had told me that this would happen, back when I was furiously writing the first draft of The Sight Seer, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. But I would have hoped you were telling the truth, because being a published author has always been a dream of mine. I’m glad that my first venture into this world of publishing was with Gabi and company. I love these characters, each and every one of them, and saying goodbye is incredibly difficult. But they will always be a part of me, and I know it’s not goodbye, not really.

stealerthanks

Thank you, dear readers, from the bottom of my heart. I love all of your comments, tweets, and messages, and I look forward to hearing from you after you finish the Saga. Happy Reading!

Cover Reveal for The Shadow Stealer!

So here we are. I’m about to unveil the very last cover for the very last book in the Silver Moon Saga. That’s both bittersweet and crazy. Did I ever think, those forty-two days I spent writing the first draft of THE SIGHT SEER, that I’d publish not one, not two, but FIVE books about Gabi and her demon-hunting friends? No, definitely not. So thank you to everyone who has joined me on this adventure. You are the reason I love this writing thing. ๐Ÿ™‚

And now, without further ado, I present to you the gorgeous, stunning cover of THE SHADOW STEALER. I won’t even make you scroll down to see it.

The Shadow Stealer (Medium)

And there it is. What do you think?! Do you love it as much as I do? Because, and don’t tell the other four covers I said this, but this one right here is my favorite. Her expression, the way she’s looking at you dead in the eye as she glances over her shoulder… Even the green background (is she in her garden? A forest? Somewhere else?) is perfect. I literally just stared at my computer, my mouth ajar, when I opened my email and saw this for the first time. A huge, huge thank you to Rue Volley for giving me five beautiful covers.

THE SHADOW STEALER releases February 27th! The blurb is up on Goodreads, but here it is in case you haven’t seen it yet:

Ever since that fateful night Gabi Saw her first demon, sheโ€™s been questioning who and, better yet, what she is. When given a chance to find the answers she seeks, she seizes it, even if it means putting herselfโ€”and her beloved friendsโ€”in danger.

From upstate New York to the streets of Manhattan, Gabi chases after the truth that has, until this point, remained out of reach. But when her whole world shatters, Gabi wonders if it would have been better to remain ignorant. Because once you know the truth, thereโ€™s no going back.

In the final installment of the Silver Moon Saga, the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been for Gabi and her friends, and no one’s guaranteed a happy ending. Will Gabi triumph or will the shadows claim her for their own?

This is one of the longest books I’ve ever written, and if you’ve been following me on here and Facebook, then you know I struggled with it for almost all of last year. But the more a book fights me, the more I end up loving it (well, I spend a lot of time cursing it out, too). I hope that you will enjoy it, too!

That’s not all! To celebrate the end of the Silver Moon Saga, I’ve decided to host a contest. Click the link below for a chance to win a SIGNED paperback copy of THE SIGHT SEER, the book that started everything. The contest will run until February 2nd, and it is open INTERNATIONALLY. I’ll throw in some book swag too, which includes stickers and a signed mini-poster.

Enter to win a signed copy of THE SIGHT SEER!

Good luck and happy reading!

Contest is over! Thanks for playing!

Stay tuned!

I’ll be revealing the cover for THE SHADOW STEALER right here Monday morning! Everyone who’s seen it so far said they love it, and I agree. Out of the five beautiful covers Rue Volley has designed for me, this one is definitely my favorite.

2014 Recap and Bookish Goals for 2015

I can’t believe it’s almost 2015! Where did this year go? It definitely had its ups and downs, and I’m hoping 2015 is a much more peaceful one for everyone.

In terms of writing, I more or less wrote two books. I say more or less because I technically started THE SHADOW STEALER in 2013, and I also wrote 1/3 of A PROMISE OF MAGIC in, oh, I don’t even know, late 2012? But let’s just say I wrote two novels in 2014. I also published two novels! THE SOUL HEALER came out in April, and A PROMISE OF MAGIC was an early arrival, publishing in November (instead of January!). As for 2015, besides publishing THE SHADOW STEALER (February 27th! Less than two months away!), I hope to start and finish two brand new manuscripts. I’m not sure if this will actually happen, but as long as I finish at least one manuscript, I’ll be happy. I’m a little nervous starting something brand new that doesn’t involve Gabi and company because it’s really hard to let those characters go. But at least I can visit them whenever I want to in Tomodachi Life, right?

As for reading, I didn’t read as much as I did in 2013, probably because I spent almost the entire year writing/editing/revising THE SHADOW STEALER! I wanted to read 100 books, but I missed that goal by five measly books! (If you count rereading THE SHADOW STEALER at least five times and beta reading, then yes, I read over 100 books!) My favorite book of the year was HEIR OF FIRE by Sarah J. Maas. I waited for over two hours to get an ARC of it at BEA and it was worth it, oh my goodness. I loved it from start to finish, and I can’t wait for the next installment! In 2015 I’m going to try to be better about reading the stuff I own. I go to the library a lot and always end up with five or more books to read, which is ridiculous because I have three years worth of BEA books to read! So I’m going to ban myself from going to the library unless they have something I really, really need to read (which is basically every book ever). I already made up a list of 2015 books I want to read (and when they’re published), but I also made up a list of older books that I’ve been wanting to read but never got a chance to. A few are series that are complete now, so if I can get all three books in one library trip, I can binge read the series, which is something I love doing. I didn’t put too many books on that list, less than twenty, because I didn’t want to overwhelm myself. I’m interested to see how I’ll do in completing that list. Guess we’ll find out a year from now! Oh, and something else I’ve wanted to do for the longest time is reread the entire Harry Potter series. But it’s so hard to reread something when there’s so many other new things to read. But I really need to make time for this series! It’s been too long!

Other than that, I hope to attend more book events (I’m definitely going to BEA for its final year in NYC. And hopefully I’ll remember to buy NY Comic Con tickets before they’re sold out! I totally forgot this year and wasn’t able to attend.) and blog about them, of course. Unfortunately a lot of the events are at night on a weekday, and I can’t go, but I always keep an eye out for a weekend ones!

Do you have any bookish goals or resolutions for 2015? If so, good luck and to everyone, Happy New Year!
